Crazy About Baby!

FINALLY! It’s complete! There is nothing like the feeling of seeing a project fully finished, is there?! Toward the end I was working like mad woman to get it done! Well! Here is my completed blanket for my little boy! I’m very excited as this is OFFICIALLY his first baby blanket.

Below are the various pictures of the pieces as I worked. All the yarn used was Caron Simply Soft. Initially, I was going to sew in the letters to spell his name as well as a crochet car applique which would have all gone on the lower right hand corner. BUUUUT!!! All my color choices for the applique were terribly wrong and it all just blends in with the blanket colors. Either way, I like the simplicity of it now, and looking back, I think adding more stuff to it will be too much!

 

And lastly, behold my awesome kitty who thinks this blankie belongs to her! My fur baby has quite a bit of adjusting ahead of her in anticipation of the new baby! She loves keeping me company while I crochet (aka making it hard to do since she wants to lay on what I’m working on or attack the yarn!)

Mosaic Blanket/Blue Circle Squares

I have been MIA for quite some time! Unfortunately, between school, work and doctors appointments I found that I had very little time to crochet, much less post. I am trying to fix that as I had to settle into a routine to give myself time to work on everything!

So while I have not been posting, I have been working very slowly on another project. (SHEESH I just need to finish them before moving on right?!)

Well. Here are my work in progress shots of my little squares:

While I absolutely love the colors, I am not a fan of sewing all those bad boys together! I am working in no particular order. What it has amounted to is when I get bored of making the circle/squares then I move on to try and sew them together or I begin to tuck the ends in. Which brings me to another point: I HATE tucking in all the ends! I’m not sure what I dread the most: tucking my ends in or sewing all my pieces together!

Any fellow hookers out there who share this sentiment!?
